Omega Diet Centers
Omega Diet Centers - "Diet centers which
understand the importance of omega fatty acids and their impact on our
health".
We all know about fat. We know it's bad for our
health, and causes the weight-prone to stack on more pounds. But
what you probably didn't know is that not all fats are bad for you.
Weight Loss International was the first of all omega
diet centers to acknowledge recent scientific studies into omega fatty
acids, and incorporate the benefits into its high profile
Slim for
Life Program.
Omega Fatty Acids
Fatty acids are building blocks for what makes up
what we commonly know as fat. Butter, margarine, and oil are
examples of products which are almost entirely made up of fat, but of
course, fat exists in virtually all foods, right down to the grains,
fruits, and vegetables known to benefit our health.
Omega-3 fatty acids are a form of polyunsaturated
fat. Fats can be divided into polyunsaturated, saturated,
monounsaturated, and cholesterol.
Polyunsaturated, and monounsaturated fats form an
important part of a balanced, healthy diet, are actually essential to
maintaining our body in a healthy, functioning capacity.
On the other hand, eating too many foods rich in
saturated fats or cholesterol has been strongly associated with
degenerative diseases such as heart disease, and even cancer.
In contrast, polyunsaturated fats actually benefit
the body. Omega-3 fatty acids (found in cold water fish) and
Omega-6 fatty acids (found in most grains and other plant oils) have
been found to be essential to maintaining your body's health.
Omega 3 & 6 Fatty Acids
Unlike other types of fats, your body cannot produce
its own supply of omega-3 and omega-6 fatty acids, and so is entirely
dependent on having a diet rich in these nutritional building blocks.
The term "essential fatty acids" comes from the
body's inability to manufacture these types of fats, and therefore its
complete reliance on external food sources.
These essential fatty acids are required for the body
to construct cell membranes, repair body organs, and are important for
controlling insulin sensitivity (for type-2 diabeties).
Omega Diet Centers
Weight Loss International recently announced that its
Slim for
Life Program has been especially designed to be rich in these
essential Omega-3 and Omega-6 acids. |
