Carb Free Recipes

We've had a number of requests for carb free recipes, or recipes suitable for those on a low carb diet.

While some may question the need for carb free recipes, given that everyone needs at least some carbs each day, we've delved through our files to bring you a low carb recipe that will still make your mouth water.

Carb Free Recipes - Cheese Crisps

Ingredients

1/3 cup semi-hard shredded hard cheese (use a hard cheese such as Cheddar, Colby, Swiss, rather than soft cheeses like Feta, Mozzarella, Brie)

Method

Heat a non-stick pan over medium high heat. Sprinkle sliced or finely shredded cheese in a thin layer, covering the entire bottom of the entire pan.

Let it fry for several minutes until you will see clear grease start to run off. When it is lightly golden brown, start carefully teasing up the edges until you can pick it up and flip it.

Cook the second side, allowing less time than the first. Drain on clean toweling. Shape into forms or cut into desired shapes before cooling. To form a bowl, lay over an overturned bowl and gently push the sides down to shape them.
