Food Calorie Counter Online Information
Are you a food calorie counter? If not, how can it help you?
And how does being a calorie counter help you anyway? These are
just some of the questions we'll address today.
Counting Calories
Calories are a measure of the amount of energy that's in food. The
more calories, the more energy. So should you be a calorie counter,
and why would you want to count them in the first place?
Why be a food calorie counter?
Your body burns up energy right throughout the day. Even when
you're sitting down "veging out" in front of the television, your body is
still busily burning up calories. However, there is only so many it
can burn. And seeing that your body is the most efficient "engine"
in existence by far, it tends to get by on far fewer calories than you
might expect.
The result? Even those people who eat sensibly and healthily can
readily consume a large amount of calories. That's because certain
foods, like those in the grains family, whilst wholesome and good for
you, are actually jam packed with, er, calories. So if you don't
monitor how many you're consuming, you're bound to over indulge, even if
you're eating healthily.
