Free Online Diet Plans

Here it is!  Free advice on how to lose weight.  Today, we'll examine what you'll need to include in your diet in order to successfully lose weight, or what you must demand from a proper weight loss program in order to even consider it.

1. Your diet must teach you eating habits you can use for the rest of your life

The first of our free online diet plans advice is that your diet must set you up for eating right in the long term.  Remember, nobody can get fat in a week.  It takes months or even years of poor eating and lifestyle habits to put on the weight in the first place.  Hence, any diet which is going to work needs to teach you the right eating habits for the long term

2. Your diet must be balanced

A balanced diet is one which allows you to eat from a wide variety of foods, and in fact, from every food group.  Diets which restrict your choices in foods, are destined for failure.  Consider our new mythical diet - The Cabbage and Lettuce diet.  Sounds delicious?  Hardly, but it allows you to eat all the cabbage and lettuce you can eat in unlimited quantities.  But you can't eat anything else - just cabbage and lettuce.   Ask yourself, "how long can I maintain this way of eating?"  In my case, I'd be lucky to last more than 24 hours, and at best, a couple of days.  So any diet which bans certain food groups or restricts you down to just certain foods, is setting you up for failure

3. Your diet must include exercise

Our third piece of free online diet plans advice, is that your diet must get you moving.  There are two parts to the dieting equation: food eaten - exercise  = the amount of weight you gain + your basic metabolism.  A diet plan without exercise makes it twice as hard to lose weight, plus experience has shown that people who keep their weight off for the longer term always use the power of exercise in maintaining their weight.  If our diet doesn't get you to move, then reject it

4. Your diet must increase your metabolism

Do you know that most ten year olds can eat chips, chocolate, and sodas all day long and not put on an ounce of weight?  Are you jealous?  That's because most children poss a super active metabolism.  So regardless of what they consume, their bodies simply burn it off.  Now for those who carry weight, the glory days of having a fast metabolism are well and truly over.  But what most weight loss programs don't tell is that the process is partially reversible.  So our final piece of free online diet plans advice is that a quality weight loss program must include strength training, to increase your metabolism

If the diet program you're choosing, or even the diet you may be designing for yourself, doesn't contain these four elements, then cross it off your list.  It's bound to fail.  Fortunately, there are good quality plans available, such as the weight loss program Slim for Life, which include all of these essential elements.
