Low Calorie Recipes (sometimes written Low Calorie Recipies)

We all love good food.  And why shouldn't we?  Even those who need to lose weight have to eat, and there are ways of dining in splendor, without ruining the waist line.

Low calorie recipies can provide all the taste, but without the drawbacks of their high fat counterparts.  Today, we investigate one of our favorite tasty low calorie recipies.

Creamy Low Calorie Herb Dressing

Serve Size: 1 Tablespoon
Per Serve: 1 Slim for Life Point

2 green onions
1/2 cup parsley leaves
2 tblspn fresh dill
1 cup buttermilk
1/2 cup low-fat cottage cheese
1/2 cup low-fat plain yogurt
1 tsp dried oregano
1/4 tsp salt
1/4 tsp freshly ground black pepper

Finely chop onions, parsley and fresh dill, and set aside. Process buttermilk, cheese, yogurt, and seasonings in a blender container until smooth. Stir in onion and herb mixture. Pour into covered container and keep refrigerated for up to 1 week.
Per Tablespoon: 9 calories, 1g protein, 0.2g fat, 0.9g carbohydrate, 0.1g fiber, 49mg sodium, 32mg potassium, 21mg calcium, 0.1g iron. Source: "Healthy Home Cooking"
