Thermocarb
A lot of people are looking for alternative weight loss solutions.
Some of them believe that solution lies in a pill. We take a closer
look at thermocarb, to see if weight loss in a pill really works.
Understanding Ingredients?
In order to understand a product, you first need to know what's in it.
Take anti-dandruff shampoos for instance. You can probably list off
several brands without even trying. Your supermarket shelves are
full of countless. And each brand assures you that their shampoos
absolutely works better than any other shampoo available. But take
a look at the bottle. Did you know that virtually every
anti-dandruff shampoo is based on one of three common ingredients?
That's right. There's not 30 different magical formulas, each
being separately branded. There's three common ingredients, being
sold in a shampoo with a slightly different fragrance and color.
What's in Thermocarb?
Thermocarb is made up of two active ingredients: ephedrine and caffeine.
That's really all there is to it.
How does Thermocarb work?
The aim of thermocarb is to suppress the appetite by creating a
"speeding up" effect of your body. The theory goes that if your
sympathetic nervous system is stimulated, the "flight or flight" adrenal
system will be activated, often resulting in a decreased desire to eat.
The hope here is that ephedrine and caffeine will produce an increase in
the sympathetic nervous system and produce this response.
What is the Sympathetic Nervous System?
The sympathetic nervous system controls your body's response to dangerous
situations. It's a vital protective mechanism. It's what
takes a laid back, cruising motorist, and suddenly makes them fully alert
when another vehicle cuts in front of them. And I'm sure we can all
identify with that.
The effects are:
-
An increase in cardio output - your heart beats faster
-
Increase respiration - you breath more deeply
-
Decreased blood flow to the kidneys, stomach, skin, mucosa, and veins -
your body directs blood away from less essential organs
-
Increased alertness
-
Increased circulating glucose, FFA, lactic acid - your body bumps up your
blood sugar level
-
Increase contraction of the spleen - your blood becomes more viscous, and
contains a higher level of platelets for clotting
You can see by this list that these body responses are tailor made for
protecting you, and placing you in a ready state for fight or flight.
How Thermocarb works
The question you need to ask yourself is do you want your body to be
placed in a constant state of heightened alertness in order to lose
weight? Keep in mind that all of these body reactions are designed
for very brief events, and are actually damaging to your body if
prolonged. The problem with stimulants is that they chemically
induce this "nervous", on edge condition in your body, which has nasty
consequences if maintained over anything but a brief period of
time.
What you need to know about weight loss pills
What you need to know is there is no magical cure for losing weight.
There simply isn't a pill that you can take that will suddenly cause your
body to shed dozens of pounds, with no effects. If there was, we'd
all be taking it, and 60% of Americans wouldn't be currently overweight.
Liposuction clinics would go out of business overnight, and surgeons
wouldn't even dream of using surgery to combat more server forms of
morbid obesity.
The best that current pills can do, is to place your body into an
agitated state, which results in a slight decrease in appetite.
Is there an alternative
The fact is that excess weight is caused by lifestyle factors: choosing
the wrong types of foods in the wrong amounts, and living a sedentary
life. It's that simple. Those people who follow the
Slim for Life Program, for example, know that what's needed is a tool
kit of techniques to let you change your lifestyle and your relationship
with food over the long term.
